Who am I…

Owl City – Fireflys

I’m reckless, endangered, and I want to rule the world… a mix for a very fun time.

My quote is as followed: “I am the self proclaimed me;” Why because I can do this and I will do this. No one can tell me who I am and what I can be.

I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and attended Irvin High School. During this time, I worked for three publications: The Lit. Magazine, Broadcast group, and Newspaper. The first two were very brief but it was the newspaper, “The Observer,” which put me on a path of exciting adventures. Thanks to the journalism group I was able to travel to Seattle, Washington, Denver, Colorado, Nashville, Tennessee, and Chicago, Illinois.

Before these I had traveled to L.A., California, Las Vegas, Nevada, South Bend, Indiana, Pensacola, Florida, and Knoxville, Tennessee. The reason I mention these trips is because they help me see outside my little EP box. I was so constantly moved around I was exposed to what other places have to offer, but that’s off topic.
Also during High School, I had the unique pleasure of putting together, and promoting a benefit show, which featured many local and out of town bands. It was exciting to say the least and put me on a path towards musical appreciation.
After High School, I disappeared to Laredo, Texas and to say the least, discovered who I am. I meant my boyfriend for 3 years (and counting), Henry, and found a new passion for movies, and music. I worked freelance for design and what not with can be seen here.

Then I was hired on as a photographer, reporter, web editor, and liaison for El Manana, which is a premiere cross over newspaper based in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico but carried branches in Laredo. I met wonderful people and regained my love of culture and entertainment. Applying my skills made me happy and when I had to leave I thought it was over.

Recently, I returned to El Paso but I don not plan to just sit back and do nothing. NO! I plan to communicate with and present those who deserve the recognition. I’ll work hard if you keep reading. 🙂
